Prospect of rice bran for biodiesel production in Bangladesh

Research Summery
This paper investigates the prospect of biodiesel from rice bran in Bangladesh. Rice bran is the non-edible portion of paddy. It can be easily collected from the rice husk of the paddy.
The basic aim at the start of this study was to reduce the viscosity of the rice bran oil and bring down the kinematic viscosity at the range of 1.9 to 6.0 mm2/s (ASTM standard). It is found that with the use of 1:6 volumetric ratio of RBO to methanol with .5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% catalyst (weight of the oil) to reduce the viscosity, the mixture was not appropriate. By using the 1:6 molar ratio of oil to methanol the production rate was high instead of any other molar ratio which is tested carefully.

Hand Gesture Recognition Based on Surface Electromyogram Signal (sEMG) with Muscular Contraction Level and Real Time Implementation on An Artificial Prosthetic Wrist Using Artificial Neural Network (ANN)

Research Summery
This paper discusses about determining the patterns of five particular hand gestures by using the raw surface
electromyogram signal (sEMG) with muscular contraction level (flex sensor signals) produced during the flexion of the muscles. The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is trained by calculating time domain features from both of the sEMG and flex sensor signals.
The myosignal(sEMG) were held into account which shows significant results about 95% accuracy for the healthy person and 75% for the disable person. Secondly myosignals(sEMG) and muscular contraction level(flex sensor signal) both were taken into account and showed 98%( about 3% increase) accuracy for the healthy person.
Implementation of hand gestures using myosignal is also done in real time but if the total forearm of the disable person could be covered with variable potentiometer then the contraction associated with a particular gesture as well as the patterns of the signals could also be detected.

A study on customer’s attitude and perception towards Bangla keyboard app in mobile devices

Research Summery
This paper investigates consumer attitude among the users of “Bangla” Keyboard in Mobile Devices. This study involves identification of the influencing factors in the use of “Bangla” keyboard apps as a consumer point of view.
To understand consumer attitude theory of reasoned action plays an important roll which explains the connection
between attitude & consumer behavior for any action. Attitude has three major components Cognitive Component, Affective Component and Behavioral Component. Where cognitive component is connected to the consumer general knowledge. Affective component is connected to the consumer emotion or feeling & behavioral component can be express as the consumers tendency or consistency of an object (Garcia et al., 2012).
To measure consumer behavior Perceived ease of use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Compatibility (PC), Actual Usages was determined with in a sample.
